It was a very thorough and helpful overview of drawing fundamentals and I totally appreciated it. Also, enjoyed the beautiful space Miya selected for our independent drawing time. Fun morning!!

This Portrait was inspired by the actress Vivien Leigh. I used a cool pallet and broad brush strokes. For me I try to focus on the process and not the end result. I simply enjoy the act of painting.

Title or Location: Cars
I began painting cars as part of a series to display at local car shows. I get inspired by challenging myself to capture all the detail, reflections, and highlights within a painting. I am a self taught artist who have been drawing since the age of 5. I would love to be featured in your publication.

My art "Authenticity"This piece represents my journey of transformation ? a journey of becoming the truest and most authentic version of myself. It is about releasing limiting beliefs, breaking free from old patterns, and leaving behind the masks I once wore to fit expectations and seek acceptance. The act of removing the mask symbolizes letting go of the false identities that no longer serve me and embracing who I truly am.At its heart, this artwork carries a powerful message: be aut

Title or Location: My Favourite Toy
This is Marley, one of my loopy border collies. I managed to take the reference photo for this drawing in one of his quiet moments, while he was hugging his favourite toy and stopping his brother Bob from stealing it! It was a challenge drawing him on pastelmat as I'm not too experienced with it but quiete happy with how he came out! He's drawn in a mix of faber castel polychromos, caran d'ache luminance and some derwent drawing pencils.

Title or Location: Balnagask golf course
I loved this photograph from John Strachan photography and finally got around to painting it in acrylic. I tried to be quite loose with the painting as there was so much detail. in the end I thought the sky looked a bit bare so with the help of Chat GPT I added seagulls to the photo and was then able to paint them into my art work. This painting will be heading for the Aberdeen art show the end of August for sale.
